Who, what, where, when, why and how?

   Where?

Welcome!
As Americans, our lives are affected by government, politics, religion and the culture we live in. However, most of us grew up in families where these subjects were hardly ever discussed. Some of us might be conversant in one or two of these areas, but few of us are able to coherently explain the interdependence which exists among all four. The goal of this site is to educate, inform and provide a forum to learn the effect of these key influences in our lives and how to become a mentor in our community .
If you are a first time visitor, I suggest you scroll down this page to get some background information and learn my pre-suppositions. The 'Let Us Begin' button link takes you to my separate daily post and library blogsite. Enjoy!
However, be forewarned - anyone who reads and understands the material presented - and then acts on it - becomes a great danger to Old Scratch and his acolytes - and who they are might surprise you!

    How?

Who?
Why?

How do I get involved? Answer: Copy those who ‘dun’ it to us! They did it patiently, relentlessly, with conviction and passion, starting more than 100 years ago – and are doing it to this day – and will continue to do so, unless and until we stop them……………..and begin the process of restoration to sanity.

Right where we are!

   When?

What?

Yes – who am I, as to be so arrogant to tackle the 4 biggies – GRPC - and try to make sense of it, much less do something about it? Good question! Facts: born in late 1930’s in Eastern Europe; refugee of WW2; immigrated to the US in 1949; lived in Virginia, Baltimore, grew up mostly in and near Buffalo NY; married for 50+ years; grandpa with 3 grown children - 5 grandkids; technical education – engineer; most notable and  lengthy career experience: teaching CPA’s and tax attorneys the art of tax research, before and after the onset of computers; always a people watcher; contrarian by nature; good analyst of almost anything; fair golfer, but good instructor – if anyone will only listen.:)

If not now – when? Elections change almost nothing. We need mentors more than ever - there is an existing infrastructure of bureaucracies which will resist our efforts every step of the way - they will lose - but slowly!

What is the problem? We assume that electing someone and/or a political party changes the direction of the country, but nothing seems to change. There is a reason – culture forms our politics, not vice-versa. What is the biggest influence on culture? “Whoever controls the schools – controls the culture!” What about our government? Do you see where this is going?
What can we do about it? A lot – and that is what this website and the linked library are all about.

The moniker ‘crushlimbraw’? Simple – I shop at Walshmart, Walgrain – call my family and friends by other than their given names – always have/always will – nothing profound; besides, I liked Rush!  The other WHY? If not us, who? The destruction of the ‘American Way’ accelerated under my watch – and yours, if you’re anywhere my age – so let’s fess up – we were part of the problem. How so? We let a bunch of ‘developmentally arrested’ adolescent know nothings take over the entire culture and country – every institution you can name is run by DaWoke. It took them over 100 years, but let’s face it – they are in charge and they are not bashful about telling us that they are.

Background and Fundamental Pre-Suppositions

Introduction: I have been a world watcher all my life. About 15 years ago, I began to send email highlights with links to articles to family and friends, which grew to about 50 recipients. Some of them I’ve never met face to face, but they have become friends through the internet. Most of my ‘sents’ deal with the 4 main topics of this website, but not limited to them. My purpose is not to regurgitate old news, but to ‘move the ball forward’, with insights and analysis.
I read what others have written, analyze it, and then forward what I think is useful. Everything I have learned has come from others. I spend several hours each day, scanning websites, for further insights to understand the world around us.
I’m your humble collector of the wisdom of others - a librarian– with comments as the mood strikes.

My purpose is to build a website with a separate archive of useful references (8000+ articles - Jul/2022) that all of us can use as our basic resource for mentoring. Mentoring? Yes – mentoring – we’ll get into that. You can browse the Mentoring Sector or word search in the archive.

Where to start? How about where we are politically?

The best article that I have read recently is by Robert Ringer:

“The reason poverty, war, and political tyranny are beyond my control is because powerful people have too much at stake to allow anyone or anything to get in their way. Let’s get real here: Poverty, war, and political power are extremely profitable businesses, and if the ruling class believes you’re a serious threat to its agenda, you might just end up looking like an anti-Putin journalist who overdosed on radioactive poisoning.
In the United States, the instrument that controls all things macro is an oligarchy motivated by unfathomable amounts of money and power. This oligarchy has two factions. One is the so-called Democratic Party, which consists primarily of Marxists and socialists. The other is the so-called Republican Party, which consists primarily of liberals.
Notwithstanding their efforts to make the gullible public believe they are radically opposed to each other’s policies, in truth they agree on virtually all of the fundamentals of totalitarianism — especially the fundamental belief in the supremacy of politicians and bureaucrats over the rest of the populace.”

https://www.lewrockwell.com/2015/06/robert-ringer/how-to-respond-to-the-oligarchy/

That’s the reality – so what to do?

Another recent article I sent out was this, by Paul Rosenberg:

“Not long ago, with these ideas in mind, I wrote this to a friend: It is fully corrupt, from top to bottom, and I don’t believe there are any “good guys” inside, waiting for “the right time.” It is OVER.
I withdraw. I forsake them. I refuse to waste my energy on their politics. Humanity deserves better and I aim to do my part in building it.
I will shed no tears when this system finally collapses – it will be a liberation.
From here on, I’ll build new things and will have nothing to do with the old.
My friend – a good man – agreed.
The good and productive people of this world deserve something better than the abusive dominators that seek to control their every move, and we are more than capable of building it. But we have to stop waiting for permission from the lords of the status quo – they will never give us permission to bypass their domination.
We have to make our own decisions and simply start building something better. We are able, and this system is unworthy of our efforts.
Now would be a very good time to start.”

http://www.freemansperspective.com/wont-be-fixed/

No, don’t hide in a cave – ‘simply start building something better’ – right within your own family, friends and community. Become informed – read and analyze – challenge your own long held beliefs. Do they hold up to careful scrutiny? Are you stuck with pre-suppositions that cloud every interpretation of new information? We will get into some serious confrontations here with our long held opinions that we consider to be factual. You think I am kidding? If you begin to diligently read and research the Limbraw Library here - Where Reality Rules - as well as other sources - carefully compare and contrast the content - you will come to the conclusion that almost ALL of  what you learned in public school and DaEveningNews about the 20th century, for example, was not just usual national propaganda - it was outrageous LYING by our political leadership! In the last 15-20 years, I have come to admit that I have had to change almost everything I had accepted as gospel truth - it is quite humbling!

The examples are many and the best way to start this process is to word search various topics in the Limbraw Library when you get there - here are a few starters: American oligarchy; defense contractors; deep state; Iran; North Korea; Vietnam; you get the idea. When you search Pearl Harbor, I guarantee your presuppositions will be challenged like never before - can you handle it? Most folks cannot - it simply overloads their belief circuits. Overcoming lifelong habits are not easy to break - I know! This stuff did not come easy to me.

Try researching Conservative failure or Big Con - and you will locate the real culprits behind the demise of our culture and country - not pretty! Continuously blaming DaLeft is an excuse - like blaming termites for being termites!

“Prove all things and hold on to what is good” will be our motto, just as the bible requires. I didn’t say ‘suggests’. If we are unwilling to challenge our own opinions, we are unwilling to learn and eventually become delusional, believing that which does not exist. No one has ‘100% of the gospel’, as Justice Thomas wrote. No One!

Expect to meet resistance and ridicule, often from your family and friends. It comes with the territory.

The status quo does not like change – especially those now in charge. Their disciples are often the most vocal, because they can’t refute your argument, but they can be loud and obnoxious. Ignore them – they’re followers who will change when the cultural winds begin to reverse, as they are now.

Let’s get started right now and I will almost guarantee that some of you will be challenged immediately.

About 13 years ago, my daughter-in-law announced that she would begin homeschooling their 5 year old son, and would do so with the younger boys as well. I was personally neutral about it, because I had not thought much about it at all – after all, I was more interested in politics. You know - the really important stuff!

When we discussed homeschooling with our daughter and her husband, our daughter expressed severe reservations about the lack of ‘socialization’ of homeschooling. She eventually acquiesced and is now homeschooling both of their children.

Now, many years later, I don’t need to belabor you with the advantages of homeschooling. The secret is out and it is growing by leaps and bounds - almost 2 million in US and counting – and the establishment education lobby doesn’t like it. I will be posting many good articles on that subject on the linked library.

Recall what I wrote earlier regarding culture and politics? Culture forms our politics!

(Just a quick note - I recently posted an article in the archive by William S. Lind "Who Stole Our Culture?" - read it!)

And who controls the culture? Those who control our schools!

In a recent internet conversation with a very nice Christian lady, I wrote this: “You said you would teach your children to pray, read the bible – and then send them to public school where they will be indoctrinated into secular humanism?” (I added the last part.)

How much sense does that make? She got the point.

At this time I would like to introduce the name of a man that most people never heard of – I hadn’t either. I call him the most influential man of the 20th century – Antonio Gramsci. Articles on him will also be posted. Between the inherited Prussian style education monopoly that we worship, and the material which is taught, we have created a perpetual production line of new recruits for the express purpose of destroying our own civilization. And most of us aren’t even aware of it – while it has gradually, for over 100 years, become the standard of every institution in this nation. Insane?

It is bankrupting us, dumbing us down and will collapse eventually under its own unmanageable weight!

Why back a loser and sacrifice your children?

5 Tips For Families Considering Homeschooling

“Homeschooling is having a moment. The number of homeschooled students in the United States grew by 300,000 between 2007 and 2012, and now make up about 3 percent of the school-aged population. According to a report from the National Center for Education Statistics, parents chose to homeschool their children for many reasons. The most common was concern about the school’s environment. Second was a desire to provide moral education, and the third was dissatisfaction with other education options.

Growing parent dissatisfaction with Common Core has already led to an increase in the number of parents who choose to homeschool their children. I know the plural of anecdote is not data, but the small homeschooling community to which our family belongs is already planning to add a number of families next year on top of the growth it experienced last year.”

Homeschooling as Scapegoat

“One can’t help but think that underneath all the talk about socialization and abuse, it’s the freedom that really bothers them. The thought of people raising their children outside the approved system is evidently too much for the left-wing mind to handle. As journalist Dana Goldstein has said, homeschooling is a violation of progressive values. It’s a threat to left-wing dominance in our education system, and therefore must be stomped out.”

21 Homeschool Resources For All Ages

“The homeschooling landscape has changed a lot in the last twenty years. Negative stereotypes that hounded us in 1994 have largely been proven ridiculous. When I started homeschooling my kindergartener last year, I was up to my eyeballs in resources, many of them free. My parents spent $1000 on curricula the first year they taught us at home. In 2014 I spent less than $100.

Here’s a selection of my favorite articles and homeschool resources for all ages, and they’re all free.”

Which of the Two Dozen 2016 GOP Contenders is the Right One?

“It is impossible to restore America politically and economically if it is not restored culturally. Reagan understood this, I believe, as exhibited by the words in his farewell address. But he never seriously addressed the issue – either because he didn't have time or perhaps he lacked the belief that he could make a difference. We can never know. But, the matter of the culture is critical to the success of the conservative restoration project. For in fact, culture trumps politics.
Twentieth century progressives – especially Antonio Gramsci -- grasped this idea. They understood that in order to radically alter the politics of the United States, they had to first undermine bourgeois culture and replace it with a more libertine version. They understood that the flow of influence runs downhill from culture to politics. And so they set about changing America's culture. They succeeded beyond their wildest dreams. Today, the left controls virtually all of the opinion-molding organs of American society: the media and the arts, public schools, foundations, seminaries, museums, libraries, higher education, the federal bureaucracy, the legal profession and so on.
Classic American culture celebrated individual liberty, limited government, free market capitalism, strong morals grounded in religion, intact traditional families and vibrant cohesive communities, individual responsibility and the meritocracy, and American Exceptionalism in particular, the idea that America is a model and force for good in the world. That culture has been supplanted by one that values: group rights, big government and crony capitalism, loose morals and banishment of religion from the public square, global American weakness and disengagement, and an obscene focus on the warts in American history.
It is little wonder that in such a culture, the least experienced, most anti-American, anti-Constitutional, radically left, lawless president in American history could be elected and re-elected.
We must recapture the culture. It took the left a century to overthrow America's classic culture. It may take us a century to win it back. A program for doing so is for another essay. What we need now is not just another Reagan, but a succession of triple C presidents who understand the cultural issue, as well as the foreign and economic policy issues, and who have the requisite ideas, understanding and political skills to bring about a conservative renaissance. Through their leadership we can take back our country. At the moment, I'll settle for a first person in that line. Which of the two dozen contenders is that special person? I pray that we find out soon.”

Gramsci's Dream Came True: We Have a Leftist Ruling Class

“Antonio Gramsci is a figure of high importance to the development of the left, both in Britain and the United states. While looking into Gramsci, I came across James Joll's book, a clear exposition of Gramsci’s ideas by a fan of the Italian Marxist. Thus it can be said that the text is a fair account of Gramsci's ideas. And if there is any bias in the texts I've chosen, it's bias in favor -- rather than against – Antonio Gramsci.
It can also be said that James Joll was himself a perfect example of the Gramscian elite. For a start, as Gramsci urged, Joll “took over” parts of at least four “institutions”: Oxford University, the London School of Economics (along with numerous other Marxists), the Institute for Advanced Study at Princeton University, and the British Academy.”

 Gramsci’s Road Map

“Gramsci wasn’t finished. After building their coalition “they must enter into every civil, cultural and political activity in every nation, patiently leavening them all as thoroughly as yeast leavens bread.”[6] To change the culture, Gramsci argued, “would require a ‘long march through the institutions’ — the arts, cinema, theater, schools, colleges, seminaries, newspapers, magazines, and the new electronic medium [of the time], radio.”[7]
Gramsci supplied the road map, and liberals, I mean, “Progressives,” followed it to the letter.”

The last piece of the puzzle: Religion. Where does that fit in our scenario?

Interestingly enough, the last people to fess up to our responsibility in forming the culture are Christians. We have abandoned it, starting more than 100 years ago, and now accuse that culture of persecuting us. So what do we expect? If you leave the battlefield, who wins? Do a word search on Churchianity - you will not like it!
Beginning about 200 years ago, the concept of dispensational premillennialism took root in American evangelical churchianity – the belief that Jesus would return when the world was at its precipice of total disaster. There have always been end time doomsayers, but now it has become mainstream in the evangelical movement.
As Gary North, one of my favorite authors, states - this is an operational alliance between the secular humanists and evangelical Christians – and has it ever been successful. The seculars run the country and the evangelical Christians retreat to their enclaves, waiting for Christ to save them and the situation.
As to Christ’s instructions to ‘make disciples of all nations’, well, that can always be explained away as saving souls.
I am speaking on this topic from personal experience. I was one of them for 20 some years. When you get to the library, find the article "The Alliance Made in Hell" and read it.

UPDATE: While the dispensationalists were retreating from the cultural foray, another branch from the church launched what we now call Progressivism - be sure to look for Murray Rothbard's "World War I- The Fulfillment". It is a long read but it is fascinating to discover how our present circumstances evolved from some insane works done in the name of Christ. (No - it was not the Crusades!)

This topic can become somewhat laborious for the uninitiated, so I will leave it here for now and as the blog archive expands, there will be plenty of resources to explore this at length. As far as I am concerned, it is the primary factor why our country has descended into a cultural morass.

This one, fellow Christian, is on us! Be sure to check out the Christian Action Project (CAP) in the archive.

A quick introduction:

Life and Death and the Last Days, or Why Eschatology Matters

The stream of countless writings and publications of modern prophecy teachers is about the single most destructive force in the world today. It is worse than atheism, for it actually affects large numbers, and actually affects the church from the inside. It is worse than socialism—for it is, in fact, the type of Christian social impotence that enables and runs interference for bad economics and politics. It keeps Christians at bay, and enables their enslavers.
